MOORPARK, Calif. –Kavlico, an operation of Schneider Electric and a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) is pleased to announce that they have been chosen to supply the ARJ21 Regional Jet with its Steering Handwheel (SHW).
This robust device features a non-contacting RVDT (Rotary Variable Differential Transformer) for reliable and accurate feedback of the handle position as it is rotated. In addition, the SHW contains a micro-switch to enable the steering handle to become active as it is depressed.
The SHW is painted to match the cockpit interior, is a line replaceable unit (LRU), and has been engineered, designed, and manufactured to meet the life of the aircraft. The SHW connector configuration allows for quick and easy installation to the power and control signals.
