Kavlico Supplies Landing Gear Control
Lever for ARJ21

MOORPARK, Calif. – Kavlico, an operation of Schneider Electric and a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) is pleased to announce that they have been chosen to supply the ARJ21 Regional Jet with its Landing Gear Control Lever (LGCL).

This robust device features a solenoid-actuated latch that prevents inadvertent gear up movement. The solenoid inside the LGCL is controlled by signals from the steering control unit to ensure that the lever is held in the down position while the aircraft is on the ground.

Other LGCL features include:

• Override button permitting the pilot to open the down lock latch and raise landing gear if the solenoid is not commanded
• Redundant micro-switches to indicated position of lever (up or down)
• A daylight viewable LED light panel is painted to match the cockpit interior
• The LGCL is a line replaceable unit
• An integral connector allows for convenient and quick connection to power and control signals
