BEI Ideacod Absolute Encoder (Draw Wire Sensor) Fitted for Roadworks Applications

Strasbourg, France – BEI Ideacod, a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST), in a cooperation with a major road equipment manufacturer in Germany have developed an adapted linear measurement (draw wire) sensor which provides accurate measurement of the mill position and direction of the vehicle tracks. The draw wire sensor is key for the milling machinery accuracy when removing layers of road pavement.

This encoder (draw wire sensor) features:

• Absolute position with an analog or Canbus output
• A measurement length of 700mm
• Easy to maintain (BEI will support on-site servicing)
• Capable of operation in harsh environmental conditions (IP69K) rated
• Many safety & protection features
